Strà Granda Monterosa

The 2025 edition of the Strà Granda Monterosa renewed the appointment with trail running in the Anzasca Valley, in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola. Athletes traversed the ancient Strà Granda, the historic link between Piedimulera and Macugnaga, tackling the approximately 32 km and the significant elevation gain that characterize this high-altitude route.

As per tradition, the race offered both the individual format and the three-person relay, immersing participants in the Walser culture, ancient gold mines, and glacial panoramas at the foot of Monte Rosa, in a route that blends sport and the memory of the Piedmontese territory.
