The theatre season of the Giacomo Emiliani Municipal Theatre of Rapagnano
The Storie che Brillano Theatre Season is the live performance review that enlivens the Giacomo Emiliani Municipal Theatre in Rapagnano, a hilltop village in the province of Fermo, in the Marche region. Organized by the municipal administration together with the Pro Loco, the season runs from winter to spring and blends different genres and languages: from prose to comedy, from author music to local productions, including the beloved Marche dialect theatre.
The season's title well describes its soul: stories that illuminate the stage and speak to an audience of all ages. The programme alternates big names from the national scene with local companies, creating a balance between brilliant entertainment, reflection, and popular tradition. The offerings range from concert-shows to adaptations of classics, from the laughter of actor-driven comedy to dialect plays that fill the hall with regulars.
The heart of the event is the Giacomo Emiliani Municipal Theatre, a small gem in the historic centre of Rapagnano on Via Giacomo Leopardi. The intimate size of the hall creates a close relationship between stage and audience, where the proximity to the artists makes every evening particularly engaging. It's no surprise that several performances regularly sell out, a sign of the deep connection between the town and its theatre.
Rapagnano is one of the many small municipalities that make up the rich fabric of the Fermo area, a land of hills, villages, and traditions. The theatre season represents an identity event for the community: an opportunity to come together, support local companies, and bring quality performances to a small town that would otherwise be reserved for large stages. In this sense, Storie che Brillano is much more than a programme; it is a cultural outpost that keeps the habit of theatre alive in the inland Marche.
The review is designed for families, prose enthusiasts, lovers of comedy and dialect theatre, but also for those visiting the Fermo area and wanting an authentic evening in the Marche province. A simple and warm experience, far from the big circuits, where theatre once again becomes a community affair.
The season, curated by the Municipality of Rapagnano with the Pro Loco, opened on December 6, 2025, with Linda Valori in the concert-show Arte in Bilico - Omaggio a Lucio Dalla. The programme continued in 2026 with Emanuela Aureli in Parlando con le Stelle (January 17) and Matilde Brandi with Vito Cesaro in La scuola delle Mogli, based on the Molière classic (January 31).
Ample space was given to Marche dialect theatre: Ce vole un Frate pe' frecà un Prete by the Li Tunni company (February 7), La parrucchiera di Siviglia by the San Costanzo Show (February 13), New Fantastico Show by the Officina del Mare (March 14), Na fortuna lu Jemmete by Gli Indimenticabili (March 21), and the finale Giovannì by Li Rmasti (March 28). Several evenings were completely sold out.
