2025 Edition: "Breathing the Myth"

The 2025 edition of the Stone Theatres Lyric Festival, promoted by the Coro Lirico Siciliano under the direction of Francesco Costa, followed the theme "Breathing the Myth", with over forty stops from July to September in the iconic Greco-Roman landmarks of Sicily.

The Greek Theatre of Syracuse was one of the beating hearts of the programme: on July 12, the symphonic-choral concert cycle dedicated to Ennio Morricone recorded standing ovations and sold-out crowds, featuring the Coro Lirico Siciliano, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Calabria conducted by Filippo Arlia, and the special participation of Lorenzo Licitra. On July 24, Giuseppe Verdi's Aida was staged, the symbolic title of the season. The edition confirmed the festival as one of the highlights of the Sicilian cultural summer, with tens of thousands of total attendees.
