Edition 2025 — Stockfish Throwing Competition
The 2025 edition of Stockfish in the Square and the Stockfish Throwing Competition confirmed the established formula of this beloved Silvanese tradition. In the heart of Silvano d'Orba, in Piazza Cesare Battisti, Pro Loco volunteers prepared and served the classic polenta with stockfish, while in the afternoon, the town streets hosted the curious pairs competition, with various categories dedicated to adults, teenagers, and children.
The event, deeply rooted in community life, represented a moment of celebration and gathering for the town and the entire Ovadese district in 2025, in the spirit of the gastronomic and folkloric traditions of Piedmont.
