St. Nicholas Procession and Krampus Parade in Silandro

The 2025 edition

On December 5, 2025, Silandro/Schlanders renewed one of its most beloved traditions. In the afternoon, from 2:00 PM, over 100 Krampus with wooden masks and sheepskins roamed the pedestrian area of the historic center, to the amazement of both adults and children.

In the evening, at 5:00 PM, the grand St. Nicholas procession departed from Andreas-Hofer-Straße, crossing the town to Plawennpark, with angels, a brass band, firefighters with torches, and St. Nicholas' carriage loaded with sweets. The event, organized by the Nikolauskomitee Schlanders, concluded with the traditional speech by St. Nicholas to the children.
