Edition 2025 — St. John's Traditions

In 2025, Colledimezzo once again celebrated the St. John's Traditions, an event organized by the local Pro Loco that renews the rituals linked to the saint's eve in the Abruzzo village every year. Walks, herb gathering, and the preparation of St. John's Water intertwined nature, folklore, and community participation overlooking Lake Bomba.

The St. John's Traditions in Colledimezzo are a recurring event in the village's community life, in the province of Chieti. Around the saint's eve, the Pro Loco Colledimezzo offers walks to discover wild herbs, flower gathering, and the preparation of the traditional St. John's Water, according to a folk ritual that unites nature and folklore. The festival draws people to the parish church of St. John the Apostle and Evangelist, the heart of the historic center, and involves residents and visitors in moments of conviviality under the Abruzzo summer sky.
