SS. Crocifisso Festival

The 2025 edition of the SS. Crocifisso Festival took place in Santa Margherita di Belice (province of Agrigento, Sicily) on the first Sunday of May, according to the town's age-old tradition. The community gathered around the rite of the "Scinnuta di la Cruci" and the solemn procession of the wooden Crucifix placed on the Vara Trionfale, accompanied by marching bands and concluded by fireworks. The streets of the historic center, lit by illuminations and with balconies adorned with embroidered sheets and blankets, provided the backdrop for a festival that draws numerous local emigrants back to the town every year.
