The spring festival in the Euganean Hills
The Spring Festival in Valsanzibio is the seasonal festival of the hamlet of Galzignano Terme, a spa town in the province of Padova, in the heart of the Euganean Hills Regional Park. It takes place between the last weekend of April and the first few days of May, in one of the most charming villages in the area, famous for the monumental garden of Villa Barbarigo.
Gastronomy and Euganean tradition
The heart of the festival is the food stand, open for lunch and dinner, featuring local traditional specialities — musso (donkey meat), cod, tripe, and tasty mixed grills — and events dedicated to Euganean flavours and wild herbs from the hills.
Cycling, games, and shows
Among the most popular events are the Spring Cycling, an ecological bike ride for families through the countryside and hills, and the wooden games for children organised by the Antiche Mura group. The programme is completed by an antique market, a charity raffle to support parish works, moments of music, dance, and cabaret, and a concluding fireworks display. A genuine village festival, organised by the Pro Loco of Galzignano Valsanzibio.

The 2026 edition of the Spring Festival in Valsanzibio (Galzignano Terme, Padova) takes place on Sunday, April 26, and during the long weekend from May 1 to 3. The food stand is open for lunch and dinner (Saturday, May 2, only for dinner), featuring traditional Euganean specialities.
The festival opens with the Spring Cycling event on April 26, a bike ride for families in collaboration with local nature organisations, followed by wooden games for children. Organised by the Pro Loco of Galzignano Valsanzibio, the festival brings gastronomy, nature, and conviviality to the Euganean Hills.
