Spring in Calvisano
The Spring Festival in Calvisano, a municipality in the province of Brescia in the lower plain, is the celebration that welcomes the arrival of the beautiful season. Sponsored by the FAI, it combines the enhancement of the village's historical heritage with a program rich in taste, culture, and entertainment.
Civic Tower and Palazzo Lechi
Among the most anticipated offerings are the extraordinary openings: you can climb the civic tower and visit Palazzo Lechi, the most notable civil building in the town. Built between 1723 and 1730 by the Polini brothers, with its two towers and characteristic exposed brickwork, the palace is a rare example of 18th-century architecture in the Brescia plain.
The Dancing Fountains
The most enchanting moment is the dancing fountains show at the foot of the civic tower, scheduled for Saturday evening at 8:30 PM: a spectacle of water, lights, and music that captivates young and old alike.
Market, Exhibitions, and Street Food
Completing the festival are the antique market, exhibitions set up in Via Roma ("Mostra Sospesa" and "I Nostri Ricordi"), agricultural displays in Via Lechi, demonstrations by wood carvers, and a rich offering of street food with fried items, focaccias, and arancini. The 2026 edition of the Spring Festival takes place on April 20 and 21, with the patronage of the FAI.
