Edition 2025 — Sponsalia

The XXXVIII edition of Sponsalia took place in Acquaviva Picena from July 31st to August 3rd, 2025. Four evenings dedicated to the re-enactment of the 1234 wedding, with the procession and betrothal on July 31st, the wedding and races between the Aquila and Civetta districts on August 1st, the Ludi di Sponsalia on August 2nd, and the Medieval Wedding Banquet in the Fortress on August 3rd.

In 2025, Sponsalia celebrated its XXXVIII edition in Acquaviva Picena, in the province of Ascoli Piceno. The program opened on Thursday, July 31st, with the procession, betrothal, and performances in the square, continued on Friday, August 1st, with the wedding and challenges between the Aquila and Civetta districts, and on Saturday, August 2nd, with the Ludi di Sponsalia featuring falconers, puppeteers, medieval games, and archery. The event concluded on Sunday, August 3rd, with the Medieval Wedding Banquet in the Fortress, enlivened by jesters, minstrels, dancers, and musicians.
