The parade of allegorical floats in the heart of Spinea, part of the Metropolitan Carnival of Venice
The Spinea Carnival, titled «La Strada in Maschera», is one of the most anticipated carnival events in the Venetian area. On carnival afternoon, a parade of masked allegorical floats crosses the center of Spinea (province of Venice), with music, colors, choreography, and groups of participants, in an explosion of festivities that primarily involves families and children.
The procession starts from Via Gioberti, runs along Via Roma, and concludes in Piazza Fermi, where the festivities continue. The event is organized by Pro Loco Spinea in collaboration with the Municipality, local associations, and groups of participants.
The Spinea Carnival is part of the Metropolitan Carnival of Venice, the circuit that brings together the carnival events of the metropolitan city around the famous lagoon carnival. Participating in the Spinea parade means experiencing one of the many facets of the Venetian carnival tradition, the more popular and neighborhood-oriented one.
In addition to the main parade, the Spinea Carnival is enriched by events spread across the neighborhoods, such as the party in Piazza Cortina in the Villaggio dei Fiori. A community carnival that animates the city for several days, fostering participation and joy.
