Edition 2025 — Sotto il Vulcano

The third edition of the 'Sotto il Vulcano' Summer Festival took place in Piedimonte Etneo from July 11 to September 21, 2025, with over 40 events spread across the historic center and the hamlets of San Gerardo, Presa, and Vena. The program intertwined dance, theater, concerts, cabaret, religious celebrations, and popular food festivals, confirming the Etna village as a key point of reference for the cultural summer on the northeastern slopes of Mount Etna.

The 2025 edition

The third edition of the 'Sotto il Vulcano' Summer Festival animated Piedimonte Etneo and its hamlets from July 11 to September 21, 2025, offering over 40 events organized by the Municipality together with local associations.

Among the most popular events were the 'La Venere dell'Etna' beauty pageant (August 1), the 49th Pane Cunzato Festival in Vena (August 17), and the 27th Grape Harvest Festival (September 19-21), featuring theatrical performances, band concerts, musical evenings, and celebrations dedicated to the patron saints of the hamlets of San Gerardo, Presa, and Vena. A free program that highlighted the rural tradition and identity of the Etna village, in the province of Catania.

Over 40 events between July 11 and September 21, 2025: concerts, theater, dance, cabaret, food festivals, and religious feasts. Main events: 'La Venere dell'Etna' pageant (August 1), 49th Pane Cunzato Festival in Vena (August 17), 27th Grape Harvest Festival (September 19-21).
