Sortino Honey Festival

43rd edition: September 26-28, 2025

From September 26 to 28, 2025, Sortino hosted the 43rd edition of the Honey Festival, bringing life to Piazza Verga, Piazza Santa Sofia, the Cineteatro Italia, and the "Andrea Gurciullo" municipal library.

The program alternated between culture and taste: the inauguration of stalls and exhibitions, the concert by the flute orchestra of the "G. M. Columba" Comprehensive Institute, the presentation of the book "Apicoltura per amore" by Sebastiano Pulvirenti, and the tasting of the winning honeys from the "Great Sicilian Wildflower Honeys" competition. There was no shortage of educational beekeeping workshops, activities for children, theatrical performances, and musical evenings with the Cremonini Tribute Band, the Recover Band, and Sicilia Cabaret. The event was organized by the Municipality of Sortino with the Pro Loco and the Regional Association of Sicilian Beekeepers.

Friday, September 26: inauguration of stalls and exhibitions in Piazza Verga, concert by the flute orchestra of the "G. M. Columba" Comprehensive Institute, "Note di Miele" musical show in Piazza Santa Sofia. Saturday, September 27: opening of stalls, presentation of the book "Apicoltura per amore" by Sebastiano Pulvirenti at Cineteatro Italia, concert by the Cremonini Tribute Band in Piazza Santa Sofia. Sunday, September 28: tasting of the winning honeys from the "Great Sicilian Wildflower Honeys" competition, educational beekeeping workshops, activities for children, theatrical performances, concert by the Recover Band, and Sicilia Cabaret.
