In 2025, the village festival of Sand in Taufers was held on Saturday, September 6th and Sunday, September 7th at the Festgelände in the town center, in the province of Bolzano. As per tradition, the highlight was the raising of the Kirchtagmichl on the Mussl, the tree trunk hoisted through the collective effort of the community, followed by the customary night guard shifts.
The Schützenkompanie Taufers offered visitors the typical festival banquet with crispy roast chicken, sausages, beer, and wine, accompanied by live music. The 2025 edition confirmed the Sondna Kirschta as one of the most cherished autumn events in the Tures Valley.
