Edition 2025 — Sonata Organi

The 19th edition of the Sonata Organi International Organ Festival was held in Arona from May 31 to June 20, 2025, featuring four concerts at the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria. This edition inaugurated a three-year journey dedicated to the Divine Comedy, with a program centered on the Inferno and readings of Dante's cantos by Maria Teresa Meardi.

19th edition — Dante's Inferno

The 2025 edition of the Arona festival focused on the Inferno of the Divine Comedy, the first chapter of a three-year journey between music and literature. Four concerts were held, all with free admission at the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria in Arona, featuring readings from the Inferno by Maria Teresa Meardi.

The program hosted South Korean organist Hijoo Moon (May 31, with Canto I "The Dark Wood"), the Accademia Hermans duo with Alessandra Montani on cello and Fabio Ciofini on organ (June 6, "From the Hanseatic to the Adriatic," Canto V "Paolo and Francesca"), Dutch organist Stephan van de Wijgert (June 13), and German musicians Heinz-Peter and Barbara Kortmann in an organ and flute duo (June 20).
