The 2025 Solemnity

In 2025, Assisi celebrated its patron saint Saint Rufino with ceremonies in the Cathedral. The vigil, on Monday, August 11th at 9 PM, featured a prayer vigil, procession, and blessing of the city presided over by the bishop. On the solemnity day, Tuesday, August 12th, Holy Mass was celebrated at 8 AM and 6 PM, as well as the solemn concelebration at 11 AM presided over by Archbishop Domenico Sorrentino.

To conclude the day, at 9 PM, the traditional concert in honor of the patron saint by the Musical Chapel of San Rufino. Some celebrations were broadcast live by the channel Maria Vision.

Monday, August 11, 2025 — Vigil

• 9:00 PM — Prayer vigil, procession, and blessing of the city in the Cathedral, presided over by the bishop

Tuesday, August 12, 2025 — Solemnity of Saint Rufino

• 8:00 AM — Holy Mass
• 11:00 AM — Solemn concelebration presided over by Archbishop Sorrentino
• 6:00 PM — Holy Mass
• 9:00 PM — Concert in honor of the patron saint by the Musical Chapel of San Rufino
