Solemnity of the Holy Face and Municipality Festival

The 2025 edition of the Solemnity of the Holy Face took place in Tagliacozzo on April 26 and 27. On Saturday, after the ringing of the bells at noon, the mayor received the Effigy from the abbess; this was followed by the Pontifical Mass presided over by Bishop Giovanni Massaro and the concert at the Teatro Talia, with the church open for veneration until the evening.

On Sunday, the Solemn Pontifical Mass was presided over by Cardinal Edoardo Menichelli, followed by the procession towards Piazza dell'Obelisco, where the Cardinal imparted the blessing with the sacred image. In the afternoon, the concluding Mass, the return of the painting to the monastery, and the final band concert closed a festival experienced with intense popular participation.
