Solemnity of Saint Blaise

2025 Edition

On February 3rd, 2025, Ruvo di Puglia celebrated its patron saint with a day full of events. Holy Masses were held from the early hours of the morning (at 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 AM) and in the afternoon, leading up to the solemn Pontifical Mass presided over by Bishop Domenico Cornacchia. At 9:00 AM, the "Small Stretch Band" animated the historic center, followed in the afternoon by the "L'Armonia Molfettese" band.

In the evening, the procession of the statue of Saint Blaise crossed the city streets, concluding with the pyromusical show in Piazza Matteotti. The festival, spread over the entire novena and the following days, confirmed the strong popular participation that has characterized the local devotion to the protector of the throat for centuries.
