Solemn Festivities of Saint Vincent Ferrer

In 2025, the festival of Squinzano's co-patron followed its traditional calendar. On Sunday, June 8th, coinciding with Pentecost, the vesting of the saint's statue with silver vestments and the placement of the ancient medallion—testimony to the protection invoked during the cholera epidemic years—took place in the church of San Giovanni Battista; the statue was then solemnly transferred to the Mother Church.

From June 12th to 14th, the solemn triduum was held. On Sunday, June 15th, at 7:00 PM, the Eucharistic celebration was presided over by parish priest Father Alessandro Scevola; this was followed at 8:00 PM by the procession of the statue through the main streets of the town—including Piazza San Nicola, Via San Giuseppe, Via Brindisi, Via Crispi, Via Risorgimento, Via Kennedy, Via Cairoli, Via San Francesco, Via Vittorio Emanuele, Piazza Plebiscito, and Via Umberto I—accompanied by the town band. In the evening, in Piazza Plebiscito, the historic group New Trolls performed. The festival was organized by the Circolo Pro Feste "San Vincenzo Ferreri", presided over by Giuseppe Fernando Tolardo.
