Solemn Celebrations of Our Lady of Sorrows — Lucugnano

In 2025, the Solemn Celebrations of Our Lady of Sorrows in Lucugnano (Tricase, Province of Lecce) were held on the weekend of September 19, 20, and 21. The Serata dell'Allegria on Friday opened the festivities, followed on Saturday by Holy Mass, the solemn procession through the village streets, and fireworks.

On Sunday, the main day of the festival, Masses were celebrated every hour in the morning at the Sanctuary, with a solemn Mass at the Mother Church and an afternoon service, while the streets around the church hosted the Great Traditional Fair with stalls of wrought iron, woven wicker, and typical products. On the musical front, the Concerto Bandistico Città di Taviano enlivened the day, the Disturband paraded through the village streets, and in the evening, the tribute band Palasport, dedicated to the Pooh, performed. The devotion concluded with the Octave on the following Sunday.
