Solemn Celebrations in Honor of the Madonna dello Splendore

2025 Edition

In 2025, the festivities took place from April 5th to 27th. On April 20th, the Guardia di Finanza Band performed in Piazza Buozzi with tenor Piero Mazzocchetti, while on April 21st, the bands of Ancarano and Chieti paraded.

On April 22nd, the peak day, the solemn procession of the Madonna departed at 9:45 AM from the Duomo di San Flaviano, accompanied by fireworks at the Sanctuary of the Capuchin Fathers and a concelebrated Eucharistic mass presided over by Monsignor Lorenzo Leuzzi, Bishop of Teramo-Atri, in Piazza Buozzi.

The concert by Riccardo Fogli, scheduled for the evening of the 22nd, was postponed to Saturday, May 3rd, out of respect for the mourning period following the passing of Pope Francis. The closing on April 27th included a procession to the hospital and pyromusical fireworks on the seafront.
