Edition 2025 — Saint Roch Festival

In 2025, the Solemn Celebrations in honor of Saint Roch took place in Ceglie Messapica on Saturday, August 16th, and Sunday, August 17th, preceded by the novena from August 7th to 15th. Two days of faith and tradition featuring the solemn concelebration presided over by the Bishop of Oria, the procession escorted by Murgese horses, brass band concerts in Piazza Plebiscito, and final fireworks.

The 2025 edition of the Saint Roch festival in Ceglie Messapica was preceded by the novena from August 7th to 15th, with Eucharistic adoration at 6:00 PM and Holy Mass at 7:00 PM in the parish dedicated to him.

On Saturday, August 16th, the day of the solemnity, festive Masses were celebrated in the morning, while at 10:30 AM, the blessing of pets took place on the square of the Church of Saint Roch. At 7:00 PM, the solemn Eucharistic concelebration presided over by Msgr. Vincenzo Pisanello, Bishop of Oria, preceded the procession with the saint's statue, escorted by a pair of adorned Murgese horses and the riders of the Saint Oronzo cavalcade. In the evening, at 9:30 PM in Piazza Plebiscito, the "Giovani Musicisti" Grand Brass Band of Ceglie Messapica performed.

On Sunday, August 17th, the festival concluded with a Eucharistic celebration and the return procession, the concert of the Award-Winning Grand Brass Band "Città di Rutigliano" at 9:30 PM, and fireworks at midnight. The civic program was enriched by the photographic exhibition "Lights of Yesteryear" at the MAAC Museum and a card game tournament.
