Solemn Celebrations in Honor of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina

The 2025 edition of the Solemn Celebrations in Honor of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina was held in San Filippo del Mela from September 17 to 23, organized by the Santo Pio Eventi e Tradizioni Filippesi Association together with Father Enrico Mortillaro's parish.

The program intertwined faith and celebration: on September 18, the opening of the "Via degli Artigiani" and the tasting of pasta alla Norma at the Oasi di Padre Pio, with a folk concert by the group Sarva la Pezza; on September 19, the mortadella sandwich tasting in Piazza Duomo and the comedy-musical show "La Corrida senza Corrado"; on September 20, popular games, fried pasta tasting in Piazza Fulci, and a concert by Alberto Urso.

On September 21, the Brass Band Gathering took place with the "Amatori della Musica" Band, the Xiridia Wind Orchestra, and the "Placido Mandanici" Band, accompanied by the Blu Stars majorettes. On September 22, the welcoming of Saint Pio's relic and the candlelight procession were held. On September 23, the Saint's day, the solemn Holy Mass, the procession through the town streets, and the traditional fireworks concluded the event.
