Edition 2025 — Soldatini all'Ombra del Tempio
The 2025 edition: record numbers at San Domenico
On May 17 and 18, 2025, the monumental complex of San Domenico in Terracina hosted the seventh edition of the international miniature figure and scale modeling competition "Soldatini all'Ombra del Tempio," organized by the Amici dell'Arte association. On display were about 600 models brought by 110 participants from all over Italy and even France: historical and fantasy figures, dioramas, military vehicles, ships, aircraft, and entries from the world of science fiction.
The works were evaluated by a jury of 13 international judges, with Italian experts joined by Spanish and French colleagues. The most coveted award, the Best of Show, was assigned to the Romans Rocco Larocca and Gianni Coniglio, while category awards recognized the best standard, best ship, best aircraft, and the best sci-fi, ordnance, fantasy, and historical works. A public success that paved the way for the 2026 edition.
