Edition 2025 — Sirventés

The 14th edition of the Sirventés took place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, in Palena, dedicated to the theme of courtly love and the figure of Sordello da Goito. From the afternoon, the historic center welcomed the historical procession, performances by the Acrobati del Borgo, the flag-wavers and musicians of Lanciano, the Errabundi Musici, and the Compagnia d'Arte Scenica Viaggiante dei Macinelli, with the opening of the tavern in the Piazzetta del Rosario.

Sirventés 2025, the 14th edition

On Saturday, October 11, 2025, the village of Palena (Chieti, Abruzzo) hosted the fourteenth edition of the Sirventés - Medieval Festival, promoted as part of the I Borghi più Belli d'Italia circuit. Starting at 5:00 PM, the historic center came alive with the historical procession and itinerant performances.

Among the protagonists of the day were the Acrobati del Borgo, the flag-wavers and musicians of Lanciano, the Errabundi Musici, and the Compagnia d'Arte Scenica Viaggiante dei Macinelli. From 7:00 PM, the tavern in the Piazzetta del Rosario opened, managed by the Pro Loco, featuring traditional dishes. In 2025, the re-enactment once again celebrated the bond between Palena and Sordello da Goito, the troubadour-knight cited by Dante in Purgatorio.
