Sirente SuperBike – In the Footsteps of the Shepherds

Sirente Bike Marathon 2025 (eighth edition)

Before transforming into the Sirente SuperBike, the mountain bike granfondo in Aielli was called the Sirente Bike Marathon. The 2025 edition, the eighth, was held on Monday, May 19, 2025, organized by Avezzano MTB, and included in the Race Cup MTB Centro Italia, Abruzzo MTB Cup, and Circuito dei Sanniti circuits.

The event featured two tracks: the Marathon route of 76.5 km with 1,995 meters of elevation gain and the Classic route of 34.4 km with 1,100 meters, both around the Sirente massif. A total of 232 athletes crossed the finish line. On the long course, Ignacio Florido Gallo and Oriana Goretti (MBM Nati in Maremma) prevailed; Giovanni Pensiero and Beatrice Sacchetti won the Classic. This edition closed the cycle of the Bike Marathon before its relaunch in 2026 under a new name and organization.
