Edition 2025 — Sipario d'Autore

The fourteenth edition of Sipario d'Autore opened on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 9:15 PM at the Brigandage Museum Arena in Itri, under the artistic direction of Claudio Musetti and with the patronage of the Municipality. Three evenings spread over the Sundays of August brought amateur companies to the stage, featuring brilliant comedy, musicals, and comic theatre, before a large audience of residents and holidaymakers from the southern Pontine area.

Sipario d'Autore 2025, the fourteenth edition

Summer 2025 saw Itri host the XIV edition of Sipario d'Autore, with three evening appointments at the Brigandage Museum Arena, on Corso Appio Claudio. Curtain up at 9:15 PM, artistic direction by Claudio Musetti, patronage of the Municipality of Itri.

The programme kicked off on Sunday, August 10 with Non Plus Ultra by the Compagnia Teatrale La Matassa, a brilliant comedy directed by Umberto Maria Sasso, with music by maestro Umberto Scipione and the special appearance of Lina Senese. This was followed, on Sunday, August 17, by the musical Tutti giù per terra by the Compagnia Teatrale I Sopra Le Righe, directed by Sergio Locascio and Valeria Martone. The festival closed on Sunday, August 24 with Sex Symbol: ottantenne con prostata by the Compagnia Teatrale Amate Sponde.

In 2025, the formula remained the one that ensured the success of the event: space for local amateur companies, affordable entry tickets, and an open-air setting with strong identity value, that of the museum dedicated to southern brigandage in the homeland of Fra Diavolo.
