Edition 2025 — Sipario Bandello

During the summer of 2025, Castelnuovo Scrivia also dedicated space to theatre and the memory of Matteo Bandello, as part of the cultural initiatives promoted by the Municipality in the castle courtyard and the town's historic spaces. The Sipario Bandello festival is part of this tradition of enhancing the local Renaissance heritage.

Throughout 2025, Castelnuovo Scrivia confirmed its cultural vocation linked to the figure of the novelist Matteo Bandello, with theatrical and literary appointments in the spaces of the Castello dei Torriani e dei Bandello. The summer evenings, organized by the Culture Office of the Municipality in the province of Alessandria, featured staged readings and performances that served as a prelude to the Sipario - Theatre at the Castle festival, which has now reached a new chapter with the 2026 edition.
