Sicilian Opera Festival

In 2025, the Teatro Apollo Anton Rocco Guadagno in Castellammare del Golfo continued its relaunch as the main cultural space of the Trapani town, thanks to the collaboration between the municipality and the Pro Loco. The musical and performance initiatives hosted in the intimate Italian-style theatre helped bring the local operatic vocation back to the centre of town life, named after the conductor Anton Rocco Guadagno, born in Castellammare in 1923 and a key figure for about thirty years at the Vienna State Opera.

From this cultural foundation, the Sicilian Opera Festival was launched, dedicating a full week to the great operatic repertoire starting from 2026, consolidating the relationship between the community of Castellammare del Golfo and its historic musical tradition.
