Sicilian Living Nativity of Nunziata di Mascali

The 2024/2025 edition

The Sicilian Living Nativity of Nunziata di Mascali returned during the 2024/2025 Christmas period to transform the medieval village into a corner of ancient Palestine. Among the stone alleys, costumed actors brought ancient crafts and the Nativity scene to life, in a journey that involves the entire Nunziata community every year.

As per tradition, the public was able to taste typical products of the Etna area and visit the Chiesa della Nunziatella and the early Christian basilica. Organized by volunteers from the Oratorio San Domenico Savio, the event confirmed its reputation as one of the most appreciated living nativities in Sicily, with free admission and a strong appeal for families and visitors from all over the province of Catania.
