Edition 2025 — Sicilian Jazz Composers

The 2025 edition of Sicilian Jazz Composers confirmed the formula that has made the festival a highly anticipated event in the Palermo hinterland: free concerts in the squares of Alia, an intensive orchestral workshop for young Sicilian musicians, and educational workshops dedicated to local schools. Three days of original music that paved the way for the sixth edition in 2026.

The 2025 edition of Sicilian Jazz Composers consolidated the festival's mission in Alia, in the interior of the province of Palermo: to bring contemporary Sicilian jazz to the squares of a small town while simultaneously training the island's young talent.

In 2025, the program once again alternated free open-air evening concerts, entrusted to some of the best Sicilian jazz ensembles, with the customary orchestral workshop and educational workshops for local students. An event organized by the Open Jazz Club Association with institutional support, which strengthened the bond between Alia and jazz culture, in anticipation of the festival's return in 2026.
