Sicilian in Jazz 2025 - 11th edition

The 2025 edition of Sicilian in Jazz opened on April 30, 2025, at the Teatro Massimo in Syracuse for International Jazz Day, in an evening that also celebrated the twentieth anniversary of the city's inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage list.

The evening began at 9:00 PM with the Crooner & Swing ensemble, seven local musicians from the Syracuse area with Giuseppe Mandalari as the crooner. The star of the evening was Walter Ricci, who presented his album "Naples Jazz", a fusion of Neapolitan musical tradition, tarantella, and New Orleans jazz sounds, which received a standing ovation.

During the evening, the summer Jazz & Wine Experience was also presented, the itinerant festival that brought music, wine, and gastronomy to the wineries, farmhouses, and villages of South-East Sicily starting in June.
