Sicilian Embroidery and Lace Festival

The inaugural 2025 edition of the Sicilian Embroidery and Lace Festival was held at Palazzo Moncada, in the Sala degli Oratori, from October 24 to 26, with the patronage of the Municipality of Caltanissetta, the Sicilian Region, the Pro Loco, and Confartigianato Imprese.

Friday, October 24, the festival kicked off with the official presentation and inauguration in the presence of institutional representatives, followed by afternoon activities. Saturday, October 25, was dedicated to a seminar on various lace techniques, with a special focus on crochet, and in the late afternoon, a fashion show featuring creations by Sicilian embroiderers and those from other Italian regions. Sunday, October 26, was entirely dedicated to interactive workshops open to the public of all ages, to rediscover the educational, social, and therapeutic value of embroidery.

Among the exhibitions were the artifacts from the "Ricamiamo Giocando" project and the "LenzuoliSOSpesi" exhibition, curated by architect Silvia Capiluppi.
