Edition 2025 — Sicilia Film Fest

The 7th edition of the Sicilia Film Fest took place from August 13 to 21, 2025, at Palazzo D'Aumale in Terrasini, with the theme «Life is (not) a game». Every evening at 9 PM, a free screening was introduced by artistic director Vincenzo Sacco, with cinetalks moderated by Ivan Scinardo. Featured films included «In viaggio con mio figlio» by Tony Goldwyn, «Arrivederci tristezza» by Giovanni Virgilio, «L'amore che ho» by Paolo Licata, and «Maria» by Pablo Larraín.

Sicilia Film Fest 2025: The 7th Edition

The seventh edition of the Sicilia Film Fest was held from August 13 to 21, 2025, at Palazzo D'Aumale in Terrasini, under the theme «Life is (not) a game». Organized by Altre Storie with the Sicilian Region and the Municipality of Terrasini, the festival offered a free screening every evening at 9 PM, introduced by artistic director Vincenzo Sacco, with cinetalks moderated by Ivan Scinardo and godmother Eleonora Cristiani.

The lineup included «In viaggio con mio figlio» by Tony Goldwyn, «Arrivederci tristezza» by Giovanni Virgilio, «L'amore che ho» by Paolo Licata, and «Maria» by Pablo Larraín. The animated series «L'Onore dei Pupi», directed by Andrea Lombardo and dedicated to the heroes of the fight against the mafia, was also premiered. The jury awarded the Faro d'Oro, Faro d'Argento, and Faro dell'emozione prizes.

Programme

Every evening at 9 PM, free screening at Palazzo D'Aumale. Films included: «In viaggio con mio figlio» (Tony Goldwyn), «Arrivederci tristezza» (Giovanni Virgilio), «L'amore che ho» (Paolo Licata, August 19), «Maria» (Pablo Larraín, August 21). Preview of the animated series «L'Onore dei Pupi» (August 13, 18, 19, and 21).
