SHORTini Film Festival

The tenth edition of the SHORTini Film Festival was held from September 5 to 7, 2025, in Piazza D'Astorga in Augusta, in the province of Syracuse. Under the artistic direction of Stefano Cacciaguerra, the event recorded a strong public turnout.

The program combined the international short film competition with numerous side events: Apericinema sessions hosted by journalist Serena Tringali with directors and festival organizers, children's workshops, book presentations, screenings of silent films with live music by LeadToGo, and concerts, including a live performance by Kokomò.

Among the awards, the Grand Prize was awarded to "Pinocchio Reborn" by Matteo Cirillo; special mentions went to "Ha Toccato" by Giusi Cataldo, "Turisti" by Adriano Giotti, and "Lover's Story: fragment(s)" by Marta Irene Giotti. Admission to all evenings was free.
