Edition 2025 — Shepherd's Festival

In July 2025, the Shepherd's Festival traditionally animated the Campitello Plateau in Roccamandolfi, featuring pastoral demonstrations, food stands with Matese products, and discussions on mountain work.

The 2025 edition confirmed the Shepherd's Festival as one of the most beloved events of the Matese summer. On the Campitello Plateau, above Roccamandolfi, shepherds, families, and visitors gathered to witness demonstrations of pastoral practices and taste the traditional local cheeses, fresh milk, and roast lamb.

The day, accompanied by discussions on promoting typical products and the future of work in inland mountain areas, once again attracted thousands of attendees, reaffirming the strong bond between the village of Roccamandolfi and the transhumance culture of the Matese.
