Edition 2025 — Shearing Festival

In previous editions, the Shearing Festival in Massa d'Albe brought the pastoral traditions of the Marsica region to life in the spring, with sheep shearing at the Azienda Agricola Blasetti Mario, wool-working workshops, and traditional Abruzzese dishes. The event has established itself as a key appointment dedicated to the region's farming heritage, supported by the 'Marsica per tutti' project.

The Shearing Festival in Massa d'Albe is a spring event that, edition after edition, has renewed the community's bond with its pastoral roots. At the Azienda Agricola Blasetti Mario, visitors have been able to witness the sheep shearing ritual, discover wool processing, and learn about the knowledge linked to the transhumance and the ancient sheep tracks that cross Abruzzo. The day always concluded with a tasting of traditional pastoral specialties, from arrosticini to pasta alla pecorara. The event is part of the enhancement and inclusion initiative promoted in the Marsica region, in the province of L'Aquila.
