Edition 2025 — Sextner Almabtrieb

The 2025 edition of the Sextner Almabtrieb was held on Saturday, September 20, in the center of Sesto/Sexten, starting at 11:00 AM. The parade of adorned livestock departed from Moss/Moos at noon, followed by Tyrolean band concerts, traditional competitions and games, Schuhplattler dances, and South Tyrolean rural specialties.

2025 Edition

The Sextner Almabtrieb 2025 took place on Saturday, September 20 in the center of Sesto/Sexten, in the Upper Puster Valley. The festival began at 11:00 AM, with the transhumance parade departing from Moss/Moos at noon: cows, horses, goats, and sheep returned from the alpine pastures adorned with flower crowns and traditional embroidery.

At the Haus Sexten pavilion, the Heinfels band (12:45 PM – 2:30 PM) and the "Wio und di oane" group (2:30 PM – 6:00 PM) performed. The day also featured competitions and prize games related to the farming world, Schuhplattler dances, demonstrations of ancient agricultural crafts, the farmers' market, and culinary specialties prepared by local producers, at the foot of the Tre Cime.
