Settenovecento Festival

The 2025 edition of the Settenovecento Festival, the ninth, took place in Rovereto from September 17 to 21, 2025, under the title 'North Seas'. The festival, organized by the Associazione Filarmonica di Rovereto ETS in collaboration with the Centro Internazionale di Studi 'Riccardo Zandonai', the WAM Festival Mozart, the Coro S. Ilario, and the Rovereto Wind Orchestra, offered nineteen events with over 150 artists, including soloists, ensembles, choirs, and orchestras.

The program led the audience through the musical traditions of Ireland, England, Scotland, Scandinavia, Northern Germany, the Baltic countries, and the court of St. Petersburg, featuring works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn's Scottish Symphony, and music from the St. Petersburg of Catherine II. On stage, among others, were conductor Federico Maria Sardelli leading the Settenovecento Philharmonic Orchestra, pianist Alberto Nosè, soprano Eleonora Contucci, the Goldberg Quartet, and the Gomalan Brass Quintet. The free previews on September 17 and 18, and the Storie di Cornice narrated encounters curated by Sandro Cappelletto, completed the program, held between the Teatro Zandonai, Palazzo Alberti Poja, and other historic venues in Rovereto, in the province of Trento.
