Edition 2025 โ€” Settembre Culturale

The 18th edition of Settembre Culturale took place in Agropoli from September 1st to 30th, 2025, with 32 events scheduled in the "A. Guida" gardens at La Fornace, on Viale Lombardia. The edition was dedicated to Andrea Camilleri on the centenary of his birth and alternated well-known figures from television journalism and print media with debut authors, confirming Agropoli as one of Italy's capitals of reading at the end of summer.

The 18th edition

Settembre Culturale 2025 offered 32 meetings spread over the whole month, with most starting at 7:00 PM and some events at 6:00 PM, 6:30 PM, and 8:00 PM. The main venue was the "A. Guida" gardens at La Fornace, on Viale Lombardia.

The opening, on September 1st, was entrusted to the 19th edition of "Bravo รจ bello", with the awarding of fifty students from Agropoli's high schools who had achieved top marks in their final exams. On September 3rd, the festival remembered the historian and Southern Italy scholar Domenico Chieffallo.

Guests and recognition

Among the protagonists of the edition were Fausto Bertinotti, Sigfrido Ranucci, Ezio Mauro, Antonio Preziosi, Milena Palminteri, and Red Canzian. The edition was dedicated to Andrea Camilleri on the centenary of his birth. For the third consecutive year, the event was selected by the Turin International Book Fair as one of the most significant events dedicated to books and reading in Italy. The organization was handled by the Campania Cultura Association, chaired by Annamaria Petolicchio, together with the municipal administration, with the support of BCC Magna Grecia.
