Sestriere Film Festival

The 15th edition of the Sestriere Film Festival was held from 2 to 9 August 2025, with a final concert on 10 August. The opening night on 2 August featured a concert by the Fanfare of the Taurinense Alpine Brigade, followed by the screening of the archival film "Sul tetto del mondo" (1910) with live musical accompaniment by Maestro Michele Catania.

Among the highlights, on 3 August, a tribute to Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati with "Verso l'alto", on 8 August the presentation of the backstage of "Fuochi d'artificio" at Casa Olimpia, and on 9 August, the awards ceremony at the Cinema Fraiteve. The festival featured an international film competition (15 films selected), a photography contest (21 finalists), and the "Mountain Tales" literary award, with 96 stories received in collaboration with the Centro Studi Cultura e Società. Evening screenings at 9:00 PM were free of charge, accompanied by eight morning guided hikes departing from the Tourist Office.
