September Festival of Saint Sylvester 2025

The 2025 edition took place in Troina, in the heart of the Nebrodi mountains, in the province of Enna. On September 9th, the statue of Saint Sylvester, the Basilian monk, was carried in procession on the Vara from the Mother Church to the Church of Saint Augustine, where it remained exposed for the veneration of the faithful for fifteen days, until the solemn return. The liturgical celebrations were accompanied by the September Fair, which the Municipality of Troina authorized for September 8th and 9th, 2025, with a limited participation of about seventy vendors. Traditional moments and local flavors, such as the vastedda cu sammucu, were also featured.
