Edition 2025 — Selvatico Fest

The first edition of Selvatico Fest took place from September 19 to 21, 2025, in Farnese, between Piazza della Rocca and the Selva del Lamone Nature Reserve. Three days of cinema, meetings, workshops, and excursions focusing on the landscape, rural areas, and pastoralism, promoted by Aucs with the Municipality of Farnese, the Selva del Lamone Reserve, and Arci Viterbo.

The first edition (2025)

Selvatico Fest debuted in Farnese from September 19 to 21, 2025, spanning three days between the historic center and the Selva del Lamone. The festival focused on landscape, rural areas, pastoralism, and slow tourism, alternating evening screenings, round tables, book presentations, workshops, and excursions.

The heart of the festival was documentary cinema, with a selection of Italian and international titles: Pasturismo, Nessun posto al mondo, and the award-winning No Other Land. Guided walks in the Reserve and workshops on botanical printing and cooking completed a participatory and widespread program, capable of creating a dialogue between the big screen and nature.

Programme

Friday, September 19: round table on slow tourism and the development of rural areas in Piazza della Rocca, presentation of the book "In cammino per un nuovo umanesimo" by Paolo Piacentini, and, in the evening, screening of the documentary "Pasturismo". Saturday, September 20: nature walk in the Selva del Lamone, meetings on landscape and pastoral practices, and evening screening of "Nessun posto al mondo". Sunday, September 21: day in the Roppozzo area, inside the Selva del Lamone, with cooking and botanical printing workshops for adults and children, a guided walk in the afternoon, and the closing screening of "No Other Land".
