SeleTeatroFest 2025, theatre as a bridge between cultures

The twenty-seventh edition of SeleTeatroFest took place in Oliveto Citra (Salerno) from Thursday, September 4 to Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the «Sandro Rufolo» EcoTeatro, as part of the program for the 41st edition of the Premio Sele d'Oro Mezzogiorno.

The program featured eight performances: four international productions and four Italian ones. The opening, on Thursday, September 4 at 6:30 PM, was entrusted to Eternity by the Youth Studio of the Yorick Theatre (Latvia). On Friday the 5th, Bona Sforza. Addio by the Anykščiai Theatre Cultural Centre (Lithuania) and an adaptation of Sophocles' Antigone by the Artgana Company (Morocco) were performed. Saturday the 6th featured The Tube by the Collettivo Due Punti from Milan and Circus Dark Queen by the Colori Proibiti Company from Rome. The closing, on Sunday the 7th, featured The Love by the Zendegi Theater & Film Company from Tehran (Iran) and Doppio gioco da Escurial by Torre del Drago APS, from the Bari area.

Alongside the performances, SmartCafè events and the Erasmus+ Diversart project took place, with forty young people from Italy, Latvia, Estonia, and Slovakia engaged in a non-verbal theatre workshop.

Friday, September 5 — «Bona Sforza. Addio», Anykščiai Theatre Cultural Centre (Lithuania); viewing session accompanied by Agita; «Antigone» (adaptation of Sophocles), Artgana Company (Morocco). Saturday, September 6 — «The Tube», Collettivo Due Punti (Milan); «Circus Dark Queen», Colori Proibiti Company (Rome). Sunday, September 7 — SmartCafè; «The Love», Zendegi Theater & Film Company (Tehran, Iran); meeting with dancer Rosario Guerra; «Doppio gioco da Escurial», Torre del Drago APS (Bari area).
