Edition 2025 — SeicentoNovecento

In 2025, the SeicentoNovecento Festival, now in its twenty-seventh edition, stopped in Scanno with concerts dedicated to the Abruzzese musical tradition and the Baroque repertoire, held between the former Anime Sante Auditorium and the Church of Sant'Eustachio. The travelling festival visited the historic centres of the four Abruzzese provinces from July 30th to August 28th.

The twenty-seventh edition of the SeicentoNovecento Festival, directed by Stefania Di Giuseppe, brought some of the most evocative evenings of the summer of 2025 to Scanno. On August 3rd, at the former Anime Sante Auditorium, a concert-show featuring a narrator, actors, and instruments of the Abruzzese pastoral tradition presented music by Padre Settimio Zimarino and anonymous pieces from the 16th and 17th centuries. On August 30th, in the Church of Sant'Eustachio, organist Luca Scandali performed works by Alessandro and Domenico Scarlatti. The festival, travelling between the villages and cities of Abruzzo, confirmed its vocation to combine early music, author rediscoveries, and the enhancement of historical sites.
