December 2025 — the origins
Before the market's debut, in December 2025, a spontaneous group of Castelletto Merli citizens reopened the doors of the S.O.M.S. in Godio with the first community meeting, "Incontriamoci" (Let's Meet). The event, which coincided with the 75th anniversary of the Workers' Mutual Aid Society, saw a higher-than-expected turnout, featuring games, quizzes, and moments of conviviality.
On that occasion, the "Sparsi nel Bello" project was presented, including the distribution of a tote bag featuring twelve locations in the town, and the foundations were laid for the rich 2026 calendar, of which the Second-Hand Market and Seed Swap is one of the most anticipated events. A strong signal of the desire to build community in this corner of the Monferrato, in the Province of Alessandria.
