Edition 2025 — Scurpelle Festival
Saturday's festival
On Saturday, October 18, 2025, from late afternoon, Piazza Largo del Popolo came alive with the frying of scurpelle, served hot in both sweet and savory versions, along with roasted chestnuts and local red wine. The evening was accompanied by live music in a popular festive atmosphere that draws residents and returning emigrants every year.
The Sunday of the patron saints
On Sunday, October 19, the community celebrated Saints Liberata and Giovanni with the traditional procession: the statues of the patron saints were carried from the mother church of Santa Maria delle Grazie to the rural chapel dedicated to them, accompanied by a marching band. A moment of strong identity for the small village in the upper Vastese, in the province of Chieti.

Saturday, October 18, 2025 — Scurpelle Festival
- From 7:00 PM — Piazza Largo del Popolo: frying and tasting of scurpelle (sweet with sugar or savory with cold cuts), roasted chestnuts, and red wine
- Live music and popular entertainment
Sunday, October 19, 2025 — Feast of Saints Liberata and Giovanni
- Procession of the patron saints' statues from the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie to the rural chapel of Saints Liberata and Giovanni
- Accompanied by a marching band
