Edition 2025 — Scordia Carnival

In 2025, the Scordia Carnival once again brought the town center to life with allegorical floats and masquerade groups leading up to Shrove Tuesday. The festival, considered one of the finest in the Calatino, traditionally involved a large part of the population in parades, music, and satire.

The 2025 edition of the Scordia Carnival renewed the popular tradition of the Calatino, in the province of Catania, with parades of allegorical floats and masquerade groups along the streets of the center. A secular and popular festival, it involved schools, associations, and families in a week of color, music, and joy that concluded on Shrove Tuesday. Through irony, satire, and elaborate costumes, the Carnival reaffirmed its role as a key identity event for the entire Scordia community.
