Edition 2025 — Scoppio del Carro
The Scoppio del Carro 2025 took place on Sunday, April 20, Easter Day, renewing the ancient Florentine ritual in Piazza del Duomo. Celebrations included, as early as Holy Saturday, the historical procession and the procession of the reliquary containing the stones of the Holy Sepulchre. On Easter morning, the Brindellone was pulled by garlanded oxen to the square of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. At 11:00 AM, the climax of the event, the colombina launched from the high altar before over five thousand spectators and completed a perfect flight, welcomed as a sign of good fortune for Florence.
