Edition 2025 — Scirocco
The 20th edition of Scirocco, in July 2025, reaffirmed the festival's dedication to live-scored silent cinema in Pergine Valsugana. On Saturday, July 18th, in Piazza Fruet (with a backup location at the Teatro di Pergine in case of rain), the Cinema Lumière event featured screenings of Buster Keaton's The Boat and Charlie Chaplin's The Immigrant, accompanied by the Piccola Orchestra Lumière—twelve musicians in period costumes—performing original music by Nicola Segatta.
On Sunday, July 20th, at the Teatro di Pergine, the festival showcased the rediscovery of L'Inferno (1911) by Giuseppe De Liguoro, Adolfo Padovan, and Francesco Bertolini, the first Italian film epic, scored live by I Sincopatici. The evening, promoted by the Circolo del Cinema Effetto Notte, was enriched by an aperitif and Piccoli Brividi horror readings by Ariateatro. Tickets ranged from 8 to 10 euros.
